Cynomolgus monkeys ( Macaca fascicularis) are known as the long-tailed or crab-eating macaques. The body length, not including the tail, is 40 to 47cm. The tail is 50 to 60cm. The average weight for males is 5 to 7kg and 3 to 4kg for females. The body fur tends to be grey-brown to reddish brown. The colors are always paler ventrally. The face is brownish-grey with cheek whiskers. The eyes are directed forward to binocular vision.
